Yes, our owner travels to Japan and carefully chooses kimonos one by one for the store.

Our vintage kimonos are mainly from 1950s to present, and the kimonos made before 1940s are considered as antique, even collectible.

Silk kimonos must be dry-cleaned by a reputable dry cleaner. We recommend dry cleaning in a laundry net. Fold it flat and keep it away from humidity and light to avoid color fade.
Q9. Do you make, alter or repair kimonos at Kimono Vintage?
No, we don’t. Kimonos are made or altered by trained kimono sewers in Japan.
